2022 Garmin Freshwater Series Round 2 Winners!
The Garmin Marine Freshwater Series Round 2 was held at Burrendong on 30th April & 1st May 2022.
Burrendong certainly turned it on for us this weekend. Beautiful glassed out conditions Saturday afternoon and the fish were biting 
. Sunday morning was no different – Burrendong turned it on again for the morning session. A lot of the teams already had their 8 fish limit and spent the morning upgrading their awesome results.

A lot of the teams already had their 8 fish limit and spent the morning upgrading their awesome results.The Outback Angler Dubbo took the win with a full limit of 8 fish for 4465mm. Andrew and Aaron fished both the Cudgegong and Macquarie arms of the dam, targeting active fish with grubs around trees. BladeNTail rods and ATC reels were their weapons of choice spooled with PE 1 braid, 10 -12lb leader. Congratulations guys!
In only their 2nd ever AYC event Troy and Owen from team One Last Cast managed a super bag of 8 Yellas for 4369mm. Troy and Owen fished way up the Cudgegong arm of the dam also targeting active fish on trees. The secret to their success was to find that slightly discoloured water in the far reaches of the dam. Well done guys and safe travels back to the NSW/VIC border.
Team Bean Flick’n’s Josh and Drew were the big movers and shakers on Sunday morning upgrading big time to push themselves into 3rd place. The boys fished the main basin throughout the weekend securing another great bag of 8 fish for 4125mm. Well done lads.
