2022 Garmin Freshwater Series Round 3 Winners!
Windamere was the venue for Round 3 of the AYC Fishing Tournaments Garmin Marine Freshwater Series held on the 28th & 29 of May 2022 where 46 teams competed.
Foggy starts both days greeted the intrepid anglers however, the fog didn’t stop them from catching fish early in the sessions.
By the end of all sessions, the boys from Orange, team “Day Release” snared top prize for the Garmin Australia Freshwater Series Windamere event. Josh Kopp and Mick Collison led the entire weekend and went into the Sunday morning session 142mm in front. Although they didn’t manage to upgrade during the final session, they still finished on top by 71mm with a full limit of 8 catches 
for 4566mm. Well done guys. Big congratulations.
Team “Wildfish” comprising Milos Milovanovic and Brendan Wilson grabbed second place with 8 catches and 4495mm just 71 mm behind the winners. Third place this round went to the “Skeersboys”. Mitch, Nathan Skeers & Garry Skeers formed a great team netting 8 fish for a total length of 4472m. Both the 2nd and 3rd placed teams fished the trees targeting fish in and around the 12m mark, presenting their grubs vertical with 1/8, 1/4 and 3/8oz jig heads. Congratulations guys great effort in a very strong field.
